Well, another “bargain-basement” item graces KA9FON’s shack. At a cost of $4.00 from a flea-market purchase, this old Dell PC is running UI-View APRS software on the 2-meter national frequency of 144.39. The former owner managed to fit Windows 2000 on to a 486 processor! It seems like the old saying “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. I just hope the Dell survives it’s debut Field Day experience.
