Good DX

Though propagation indices are pretty low during this sunspot cycle, it seems that 20 meters can have some good openings to SW Africa and Australia. This afternoon at 2100 UTC I worked C91R in Mozambique on 14084 RTTY and later VK2KM in Sydney, Australia on 14070 PSK. Signals were OK for both QSOs. I also experienced great 20m openings last weekend's ARRL CW DX Contest, with a new one for me. Notably Northern Europe opened up into England and S. Europe, where I worked T93J, my first Bosnia contact. Also D4C in Cape Verde Islands was another rare one. I'm really looking forward to 10 meter openings this year. Again, my G5RV Jr. never ceases to amaze me........
